TRAVEL THE UNITED STATES THROUGH MOVIES & TELEVISION

Screen shot 2011-04-08 at 4.36.39 PM

As a huge movie buff, a somewhat frequent TV-watcher, and a lover of maps, I’ve just found my holy grail.

When I grew up, I thought everyone was from Chicago because I was, but also because all my favorite movies revolved around the Windy City. (John Hughes movies like Home Alone and Ferris Bueller, along with Adventures in Babysitting and National Lampoon’s Vacation, and even shows like Married With Children.)

Thank you, Movie and TV Map for clarifying things for my childhood self. A world does exist outside of Chicago!

  • This is a really fun idea. Surprisingly TV and Movies have inspired me to travel. I mean take Amelie, as soon as I saw it I wanted to book a flight to Paris. Took a couple years, but I got there.

Honestly, for my state (Alabama), I thought most people would’ve associated Forrest Gump… that’s the one I get the most of people quoting when I travel.

Yeah, this map isn’t 100% correct, but it’s still fun.
