WHERE TO FIND THE BEST BISCUITS AND GRITS IN GEORGIA

Flying Biscuit

Atlanta, Georgia
If there’s one thing that Southern belles like to eat (besides peaches), it’s grits. Don’t think you’ve tried grits because you went to Waffle House once at 2 AM. You gotta hit up The Flying Biscuit for their insanely delicous Creamy Dreamy Grits and a warm dessert-like biscuit served with incredible homemade cranberry apple butter on the side.

This is the kind of place where the crabby host holds the keys to the castle. If you’re trying to stop by for brunch (remember that breakfast is served all day), the host will tell you that the wait is 60 to 90 minutes. However, don’t walk too far because it rarely takes that long. Also, the limited bar seats are first come first serve. Literally, run inside the second you see one open. Don’t talk to the host about it.

What to order? Breakfast. Anything that comes with Creamy Dreamy Grits and a biscuit. That’s really why you’re here. Be sure to cherish the special moments you have with your Flying Biscuit meal before the moment flies away. (Yes, it’s that good.) Then order a dozen biscuits to go. You’ll want them later when you’re going through withdrawals.
