CON: Like Disney World, you have to wait in line for everything. And I mean everything. It could be 20 minutes to wait in line for a cab, 90 minutes to wait in line for a buffet, 2 hours to wait in line to get into a club,15 minutes to wait in the bathroom line at a club…
PRO: You can get a great meal. Tons of famous NYC restaurants have locations in Vegas. For example, Serendipity 3. I got a Frrrozen Hot Chocolate in under 10 minutes flat. That would never happen in NYC.
CON: The hotels and casinos might look close to your home base, but Vegas blocks are huge and it’s hot as hell outside. So even though you want to try a certain restaurant at a certain hotel, you have to factor in the cab ride and weigh whether it’s worth the price.
PRO: It may be hot as hell, but you’re always only steps away from an air conditioned hotel or casino.
CON: There’s no smoking ban. You have to walk through a casino to get just about everywhere which means you have to walk through a cloud of smelly smoke.
CON: So is losing all your money.
PRO: You can do just about anything at any hour. Except get Mexican food after midnight on a Sunday night (I tried).
CON: You don’t ever know what time it is. Ever.
PRO: That’s OK, because it’s VEGAS!
