New York City, New York
Sometimes you travel to a museum to see one thing. It’s like, “Oh we HAVE to go to the Louvre because I HAVE to see the Mona Lisa. Well, MOMA (the Museum of Modern Art) is like that times ten.
The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh
The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dali
Campbell’s Soup Cans by Andy Warhol
The Young Ladies of Avignon by Pablo Picasso
Water Lilies by Claude Monet
And that’s not even everything. Because these paintings are so popular, there is a chance that one of them could be touring the world rockstar style so don’t get your hopes up. (We’ve personally seen The Starry Night in the Vincent van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.) Even so, you will not be disappointed during a visit to the MOMA. In fact, it might just blow your mind.
If the line is so long that it weaves outside and it’s raining, it’s STILL worth it. If you have some lame excuse that prevented you from standing in the rain, the least you can do is visit a MOMA store. (It’s the best museum gift shop you’ll ever find.) And if you don’t do either, at least visit the MOMA online store.
