MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – The Walker Art Center. A great museum with a really good gift shop, too. But the museum’s must-see photo opportunity is actually outside in the free sculpture garden. In an unsuspecting mini lake resides a gigantic spoon with a cherry on top (the stem doubles as a fountain). No, we don’t know why. Just take a picture by it and rejoice in its beauty.
But wait! Don’t get too distracted by Spoonbridge and Cherry because people have fallen into this mini lake before. There’s no barricades. In fact, we’ve even heard of people jumping onto Spoonbridge and snapping a photo before they got caught. Prom photos happen here. Wedding photos happen here. It’s kind of a big deal in Minneapolis.
